June 20-22: Robion, France

We spent two very enjoyable days with Dan, (our nephew) Claire, and their children, Emily, Isiah, and Tobias. Tobias, the youngest, won every game of Skipbo except 2. Maybe that is the reason he is the only one not looking at the camera.

We hiked Roussillon. The ochre rocks provided the Impressionists with the red, purple, yellow and green pigments for many of  paintings.

We ate lunch at Gordes which has the distinction of being one of the most beautiful villages in France.

After lunch we visited the 12th century Abbey Norte Dame de Senaque, where the monks continue in the same the manner as their founders.  Then Claire completed our tour with  walk through the streets of Oppede le Vieux.

Au revoir et merci to the French Kreuger’s

  1. Amazing pictures Jim, Laurel and Betty! It was SO LOVELY having you here! For any of your blog readers who want more Provence greatness, watch A Good Year the movie with Russell Crowe. The restaurant that features prominently in the movie is the one where we ate in Gordes (Le Renaissance). Bisous!
